The Tale of the Headless Sailor

Headless/ Toe-less Lladro Sailor, Goodwill Outlet ($1)
When I saw this poor, broken guy in the Goodwill Outlet bin on Saturday, I knew just what he was. You see, my Grammy collects Lladros, and for about a buck, I had to have this headless fellow!

The funny thing about this is that I think I like him better without a head. Here's a photo of an intact one. (It is kind of cool that the original has a pipe. The hubby would like that.) But I like him better as I've put him to use: with a fabric flower where the head should go! I'll take a photo sometime. :)

    Poor headless figurines! I sometimes get a pang for the many many many nativity figures in the bins. I always think... "You have heads, but only for now! I'm so sorry!"

    Lol, I know what you mean :) I'll def have to post a picture of my Lladro with its faux flower 'head'- it's so cute!
