A Couple More of Saturday's Goodies

OK, OK... I promise this is the last day I am going to show you Saturday's finds :) I almost forgot that I finally found the Forever21-inspired bag from the first thrift-spiration weekend! I spotted it for 99 cents at FanTastic Thrift- that price makes even F21 look pricey!

I also found this ring holder at FanTastic Thrift, for 99 cents. I am using it in my little train case to hold my bangles!

And, finally, the Vera Bradley ID case I found in a bin at Goodwill Outlet. I think the cashier charged me 50 cents for it :) (It's hard to tell how much things are there, since they price mostly by the pound!)



And that's pretty much it from this past Saturday! It only took me half the week to show you all everything I found :)

They're Not Identical Twins.

The other day, I totally fell in love.

OK, OK...not with a guy (completely in love with my hubby), but with boots. From Goodwill.

Take a look at these $4 beauties: (The same ones I wore on my thrifting day!)






I was being a total dork- I decided to go thrifting on my lunch break. So, I was winding through the store, quickly looking through, when I spotted these leather boots. I stopped. I checked- my size! I grabbed them, paid, and ran out the door back to work.

Fast-forward to later that evening, at home, cleaning my new boots with leather cleaner and anti-bacterial wipes. I look at the boots more closely and see that they are TWO DIFFERENT BOOTS! One's a 7.5 and one's an 8- different brands.

But guess what? They totally fit and look like they go together, so that's enough for me!
My new boots reminded me of these I saw on Forever21.com for $26.80! (I like mine better, though :))

Another F21 Thrift-spiration Weekend!

First of all, let me say this: I am sick. I have a sniffly, yucky, had-to-go-to-the-doctor-which-I-HATE cold. Yuck.

However, I'm hoping that the fact that I slept most of today and am about to sleep the rest of the night makes me mostly better by tomorrow. (Fingers crossed!)

After waking up from my sleepy haze, I wondered back onto the Forever 21 Web site to check out the new arrivals.

And I decided it's time for another weekend thrift-spiration!

Here's what I'm looking for this time:

All items, Forever21.com. Total price: $154.00

Group one: Cute blackish-grey cardies and a knit moto jacket

Group two: Goes-with-anything vest, tough-as-nails bangle, and plaid jacket

Here's to feeling better when I wake up in the morning, and better luck finding these items than last time!

Treasure Hunted; Treasure Found!

So, as you all know, I went on a shopping (thrifting?) spree yesterday, searching for a couple things inspired by current trends and Forever 21. (A store with prices so reasonable, it really could be said to be one or two steps up from thrifting...)

Anyway, I was semi-successful in my search- I found more than half of what I was looking for!

I visited (aka: dragged the hubby to...) two Goodwills, a Salvation Army, and the Love of Jesus Thrift Store. (So have to do a post about this place...it is simply awesome. No other words.)

Here are my finds:

From top left, clockwise:

1) Bangles, all: Love of Jesus Thrift Store ($1 total for all of them!)

2) Cumberbund (to use as belt, obi-style!): Goodwill ($4)

3) Plaid long sleeve shirt: Goodwill ($2)

4) Vintage-y pink plastic necklace: Salvation Army ($2)

Total for all Forever 21 thrift-spired items: $9! I'd call that success- wouldn't you? :) Have a great Sunday everyone!

Thrift-spiration: Forever 21

So, I am looking to the Forever 21 Web site for inspiration this weekend. I figure, 1: they always are up-to-date on current trends (which happen to be fairly vintage-inspired at the moment) and 2: if I don't find like items in my thrift search, I can afford to buy the real deal! Awesome. So, here's what I'm aiming to find this weekend:

1) Crotchet-type scarf, the softer the better!
2) Cute, slightly Navajo-print short-sleeve sweater
3) Obi-style belt
4) Slightly fancy bangle (Plastic! I can wear it! Hate being allergic to metal.)
5) Vintagey sunnies (Sooo 70s, right? Love it!)
6) Slightly fancy teardrop necklace
7) Cool printed bag
8) Plaid button-down


I think I may have a shot at at least a couple of these! I'll let you know what I find :)
