Thrifted Remix: Crazy Print Shirt

Since I thrifted my black and white patterned shirt in Florida this June, it's been on the blog quite a bit! It's super silky and comfortable, and the print reminds me of those pictures you cross your eyes at. (You know the ones?)

I pretty much wore this shirt the same way every time. Sunglasses, jeans, statement necklace...check!

I do think the red necklace works best with the shirt, though :) Probably because I thrifted both on the same day!

Come Sail Away

At Sunday's estate sale, it seemed like I found unique treasures everywhere I turned! Two of them were little wooden boxes. I grabbed both: a parrot one for the shop, and a sailboat one for me :)

The funny thing is, I can't really ride on sailboats. I get super, super sea-sick! (Try saying that 10 times fast :))

I couldn't resist this cute little scene, though. The bird; the water; the little boat. I can see the allure of the salty breeze and the open ocean. For me, it's enough to have a little piece of that to look at every day :)

An Animal Bag and a Cowgirl

I seem to be saying this every week, but I went to the best estate sale on Sunday! The parking situation was less than ideal (I had to maneuver my little Saturn into the woods), but it was definitely worth it :)

I'll save one of the finds to share with you tomorrow, but here are my favorite two:

I love the cowboy hat- so much so that I've decided to be a cowgirl for Halloween this year :) I have the plaid flannel shirt, the cowboy boots, and now the hat! (Click here for an etsy treasury I made for inspiration!)

And do I even have to explain my love for the bag? It's weird and wonderful- pretty much exactly what I look for when I'm thrifting or estate saling! I'm trying to decide whether or not to sell it in my etsy shop. Let me know if you can't live without it, and I'll list it for you!

Square Shooter

I was so excited to pull this old Polaroid Square Shooter camera-- with the original case and instructions-- out of the Goodwill Outlet bins Saturday!

I found out pretty quickly that the film still inside was no good. But I'm still excited about this really neat find :)

My favorite thing about it is the lens! I love the look of older cameras. The boxy shape and the round lens make such a pretty combination :)

My Thrifting Outfit: Ray Bans and Sunshine

I got some vintage Ray Bans on eBay for seven bucks, and I couldn't wait to try them out! Yesterday was hot and sunny, so it was the perfect opportunity :) The verdict? I love them! (Can you tell?)

Where Can I Find That? ((The Vintage Floral Shirt))

We've probably all seen old floral shirts at our favorite thrifts, but I was so excited when I found this one! Some vintage florals just fit in easier with modern clothes than others do :)

Guy Finds Friday: Plane Awesome

Hi and welcome to another Guy Finds Friday with Josh!

This week I'm going to show you something Amanda thrifted for me before we even got married. She found this awesome wooden F-16 at a Goodwill in our Florida hometown, and now it has a place of honor on our mantle.

I've loved planes since I was little, so this is a cool thing to have. And although it's not as interactive as the RC planes my dad and I fly, it fits in our apartment a little better!

I think that it helps to put a little bit of 'man' in our 'mantle', you know?
