War of the Worlds

I must admit that I never saw the movie War of the Worlds... and that this old book appealed to me mostly because of the awesome cover! While I am an avid reader (I go through about 3 books a week), I haven't read this yet either, but I plan to.

Usually with older books, I am drawn to the ones that look the coolest- and what's cooler than this crazy scene?

Do you all do the same, or do you pick out books like a normal person (ie: by their content!)?

    That is some truly awesome cover art! I am definitely guilty of buying multipule copies of the same book for the cover art, haha!
