First off, happy Friday everyone! I am so excited about going on my little trip with the hubby this weekend to Luray :) Expect pictures galore of caverns, beautiful scenery, and good times! The only tiny problem? I might not have many thrift finds to share this week. But you never know! We are planning on going to an antique mall, and you never know when you might run into a thrift :)
But, yeah, on to the last little things I have to show you from the past couple weeks' thrifting.
I got these at Goodwill Outlet two weeks ago. They are currently hanging out with a couple more "Home Sweet Home" cross-stitches in our kitchen. I like how...homey...they are, you know? To think that someone put time and love into these is just so sweet. My favorite one of my little collection? One that says "Home is where you hang your heart."
For now, we're hanging our hearts in Virginia. And you can bet that wherever we are in the future, we'll have these sweet little pieces of home with us :)
Always,
Amanda

A Little Apartment Tour :)
I felt like doing a little spring cleaning/ reorganizing last night, so I took some pictures of little spots around our apartment! (I didn't clean everything, so I zoomed in on the neater parts...) :)
My favorite part? The fancy vintage purse wall, which is on my side on the bedroom. The funny thing is that the hubby likes it! (Although he probably says that so he can keep his manly pipe collection on his side!)
I realize that I have a very quirky, vintage taste in things. But what can I say? There's pretty much nothing cooler than old Polaroid cameras, James Bond books, jewelry boxes, shiny purses, and globe pillows! At least to me :)
What do you like to have in your place?
Always,
Amanda

Wishbone Belt and Old-Man Suspenders!
Yesterday, my lovely husband and I took a mini-tour of the thrift stores in our town...2 of the Goodwills and 1 Salvation Army. (He doesn't love thrifting, but he's a good sport...and he usually finds something he wants, too!)

I hit pay dirt at the first Goodwill- finding an awesome old eagle mirror ($3.25), a wishbone belt (as the hubby, rightly, dubbed it)($2), and old-man suspenders ($2)!
Anyway, let me introduce myself. My name's Amanda, and I am a lover of thrift stores, great deals, and writing. So here we are. I hope to keep up this blog and maybe be a pick-me-up in someones day, much as other blogs I read are to me :)

I had been looking for suspenders for quite a while- everyone keeps telling me to get some at Target, but for some reason, I always forget when I'm there. And these, though not skinny black ones as I've been looking for, definitely seem special to me. Who knows why!
I can just imagine them on some older gentleman, getting dressed up for a nice night out with his lovely wife of 50 years...
