My Thrifting Outfit: The Canadian Tuxedo

Although I've done it before, I'm always a little wary of the denim-on-denim trend. It always makes me think back to those unfortunate photos of Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake in their matching 'Canadian tuxedos'. Remember the ones?

Well, I took another stab at it on Sunday, and I really liked it! The trick, I think, is wearing different shades of denim and keeping it simple. (No jean dresses as red carpet attire!)

This photo was taken by my hubby! (As you can probably tell by the silly pose I'm trying to make...) He was off work and school on Sunday, and we spent the day lazily visiting different shops and thrifts.

After a long-ish weekend (I had to work a half-day Saturday), I'm back to work today. But you know what Mondays off mean? Short weeks, and just a few more days until it's back to the thrifts!

    Ooo...I love this outfit!! You look so chic and ready for a day of thrifting.

    It's so funny but I dread going back to work after a fed. holiday. The Night Drop becomes my nightmare.

    You've mastered the denim-on-denim. I must admit, I was totally wary of it at first, but after trying it once...it's addictive!
