My New Favorite Necklace

When I spotted this necklace on Saturday at Midlothian Antiques, I knew I had to have it! Of course, the hubby's not a huge fan. (He said it reminded him of a grade-school teacher! I said, 'What's wrong with that? Teachers are pretty awesome!!')

I like how huge the beads are, and how they're reminiscent of vintage bakelite. And that it's an awesome piece of non-metal jewelry!

Vintage Beaded Necklace, Midlothian Antiques ($4)
I've been wearing it pretty much non-stop, excluding work, and it matches everything! If this necklace gives me that schoolteacher look- bring it on!

Well, as long as I don't actually have to teach. God bless you, teachers. For real :)

Always,
Amanda

  2. Man, you could totally pull this off. Just pair it with a white tee and a simple cardigan. Make it be the focus! Just avoid a frumpy denim jumper or whatever it is these supposed school teachers wear.

Then again, I've seen my fair share of fashionable educators in my schooling!
