The pictures I took inside Luray Caverns turned out sort of strange. Our little point-and-shoot wasn't great with focusing without the flash, but I hated to use flash in such a magical place! Everything in the caverns looked foreign and alive, like we'd gone much farther than a couple hours north of Richmond.
Here are my two absolute favorites:
As I was taking this one, I couldn't believe how Mars-like this was! Rather, what I imagine Mars might look like...
And this one reminded me of some sort of operation gone wrong:
Pretty creepy, right? But I loved it! The funniest part of the whole thing was that I chose to listen to the kids' tour guide recordings instead of the adults'. We had to find the "friendly ghost" and "fried eggs" and the like! What can I say? I am pretty young at heart. And, well, the guy's voice on the adult recordings was sooooo monotone.
All in all, it was a great time :) Oh, and my favorite part of our "antique style" room at the Day's Inn? This TV stand that, in a past life, used to be a music player!
I hope everyone's having a great week! It's almost the weekend :) I'm excited to be going on a tiny trip to Florida (we're talking about 24 hours) that entails wearing a dress. I had the hubby take my picture with it on, and I'll show you very soon! (I know you all are just dying to see me in a dress finally! Ha ha!)
Always,
Amanda
O, that looks like SO much fun! Where is it at?

Hey there! It's in northern Virginia, pretty much in the middle of nowhere :) It's an awesome place, though!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your dress post! A 24-hour trip to FL, that doesn't sound like much fun :) Love the cavern shots, they really are so crazy amazing. Have a great night!!
