Zeppelin + Needlepoint

Before you get too excited, this post isn't about a needlepoint vintage Led Zeppelin poster. (Although that would be pretty awesome!!!)

But it is about an awesome postage-stamp shaped needlepoint featuring the Graf Zeppelin, a German airship that flew from the 1920s and 30s. The actual stamp that the wall-hanging is based off of was a U.S. air mail stamp from 1930. Not Led Zeppelin cool, but still pretty neat!

Wall Hanging, Goodwill Outlet (<$1)
Possibly the best thing about this find was the price- it barely weighed anything, so it was less than a dollar at Goodwill Outlet!

The hubby isn't the hugest needlepoint fan as a rule, but he loves this :) Anything to do with aviation, and he's in. Don't you just love when you can find something that you and your hubby (or roommate, family, etc.) can appreciate? Awesome.

Always,
Amanda

  1. I was totally fooled! I thought exactly Led Zeppelin. Oh well! It's still cool. It looks well made.

  3. I can totally picture finding a needlepoint of Led Zeppelin in those bins. :)
I really like the one you did find, though!
