Here is an example of what I'm looking for:
Vintage Exercise Bike Painting by Justin Allen found here
I've found quite a few on eBay, but non close enough to pick up. (They are a little too expensive to ship!) I don't know how likely it is that I'll find one in working condition, but I definitely will be on the lookout :)
Have you ever thrifted any exercise things? This will certainly be my first!
Always,
Amanda
It's so funny you mention this, I just finished watching the 2nd season of Lost (in which there is a vintage exercise bike) and I totally want one now, too! Good luck in your search!
ReplyDeleteWe actually have one similar to that sitting in our barn. Very poor condition of course, and I'm not sure that it could be repaired to anything pretty looking. But I've never seen one in a thrift store.
ReplyDeleteHowever...on my last visit to Goodwill the woman behind me was buying an AbRocket type thing and it was ticketed as $7.99! I was trippin'. That's a crazy good price, especially if it actually works....
we see them all the time at yard sales here in Seattle.
ReplyDeleteCraigs list? What about local pick up from ebay or freecycle (no pun intended)

I have an antique stationary exercise bike. It's a nice bike, but very heavy. It seems to be in great condition. The style of the bike is older than any I've ever seen. Where can I sell this beauty?
