My Thrifting Outfit: Mix and Match

It was about 104 degrees here in Richmond yesterday! How does a girl dress to go thrifting in that kind of heat? For me, it meant picking the lightest-weight clothing I had and putting it together :) A little mix and match with a couple accessories to make things more interesting, without adding layers of any kind!

Silky Top, Goodwill; Camo Shorts, Goodwill; Fringed Sandals, Goodwill Outlet; Purse, Goodwill Outlet; Gator Pin, Estate Sale; Necklace, Lighthouse Ministries Thrift; Sunglasses, Salvation Army (100% Thrifted!)
Despite the heat, the hubby and I made out with some great finds! I managed to dig out a Super Nintendo from the Goodwill Outlet bins for him. He'll talk more about that for Guy Finds Friday. (He finally agreed to write the guy posts! So excited!)

The hubby grabbed an awesome find for me at Good Samaritan- a 1960s pair of cat-eye, made in Italy sunglasses! For 99 cents!

It was a really good day- I can't wait to show you everything :) Oh, and here's a close-up of the gator pin I wore:

My younger brother is a Florida gator, so I like to rock the gator accessories when I can :) Have a great, relaxing Sunday!

  1. I like your outfit! I think the gator pin ties the green of the shorts in and the navy blue works well with the black shoes! You look cute and comfortable!

  2. Thanks, Sarah! I really just grabbed the coolest clothing I could find and wore them together...maybe next time I'll pair the shorts with a solid color shirt!

  3. I really love the pattern mixing, you took it to a new level with camo!!! Great idea!! My husband collects old video game consoles and games too. We have a few bins full. He likes to refurbish them, but hasn't decided whether or not he is going to sell them. I don't have the heart to ask what we need with 16 Super Nintendos, but I also don't want him to start questioning all of my collections, so we are kind of even :)

I love your comments! You all are the best!
