The Zebra and the Elephant

As you may have noticed, I've changed up my post titles to be reminiscent of quirky vintage books. For some reason (probably from reading hundreds of books throughout the years) it's easier for me to think of a book title than a blog post title for my thrifted finds :)

Today, I'm going to tell you the tale of two wooden animals with movable arms and legs. Meet Elephant and Zebra:

Wooden Shelf Animals, Goodwill ($3)

The zebra and the elephant lived a long, happy life with their first owner. They dangled their feet off of the bookshelf they shared with battered classic novels, and they were happy. One day, their owner had to move to a new city, and they just wouldn't fit in the few boxes they could take. So they were brought to Goodwill and they hoped for another lovely home.

It was soon after they arrived that they were purchased by a young woman and her husband. They would have a happy home after all! That's how they came to chat on the edge of a balcony about their new glamorous lives- with a photo shoot and blog appearance and all.

The End.

(Don't tell the poor elephant and zebra that they were probably from Pier 1 or some such and that this will be their only blog appearance. It might break their little wooden hearts!)
Always,
Amanda

PS: Happy, happy Friday!!!!
