My Thrifting Outfit: Happy Independence Day!

I decided to go ahead and wear my red, white and blue yesterday since today I plan on just hanging out at my apartment, reading books and magazines. (The hubby has to work a 12 hour shift today, but we're both off tomorrow :))

I've found that when wearing these colors together, subtlety is key! One of the shirts I thrifted in Florida and  a newly thrifted necklace for a little red made for an easy, patriotic outfit:

Sunnies, Salvation Army; Striped Shirt, Goodwill in Florida; Jeans, Goodwill; Flip-Flops, Goodwill Outlet; Vintage Coach Purse, Goodwill Outlet; Necklace, A Yard Sale Shop in Florida (100% Thrifted!)

I am obviously loving these thrifted flip-flops, despite the fact that I never thought I'd buy them at a thrift store. I like to think these are different, though: the fringe detail makes them a bit fancier than Dollar Tree ones, and since they're from Goodwill Outlet, they were only two bucks :)

I did manage to thrift brand new, leather Clarks wedges yesterday for five bucks, so I'll have some non-flip-flop sandals for this hundred-degree heat! Happy fourth, everyone!

Always,
Amanda

  1. You look very cute!! I plan on thrifting sometime today...crossing my fingers the place is actually open...and then spend my day relaxing. So I saw you had to work yesterday too. Were you guys busy? We were slow as crap, since most people thought we were closed anyways.
